Day 2. Thursday, 18th April. Day in Tbilisi and Mtskheta.

Today we’re about to discover Georgia’s beautiful capital city – Tbilisi, where we will dive into a mix of epochs and cultures, fragrance of spices, different religions, and last but not least – a legendary hospitality of the locals. 2-3 hour tour in the center of the city. Free time.

In the afternoon we will drive to Mtskheta – Georgia’s first historical capital city, located appr. 25 km away from Tbilisi. Our first stop will be Jvari monastery (built in VI century), with an astonishing view from the top of the hill over the Caucasian mountains and two rivers crossing right in the middle of the city. Afterwards we will visit the city center to take a walk and see its small yet cozy streets, as well as the city’s most famous place – Svetitskhoveli cathedral (XI century). And finally we will take another short drive to Chateau Mukhrani – one of the best wineries in the country, where we will taste world’s oldest and one of the best wines. Dinner.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

In the afternoon we are invited to walk “Batumi – Las Vegas with the Georgian soul” city tour. Free time and possibility to walk around by oneself. Dinner.

Overnight in Batumi.

We want to show travelers a destination on the edge of Europe, which most of the people would probably miss but everyone deserves to see – we will also show that a travel company can support the local community in the country that is being offered as a destination. We dedicate 5% of our revenue as a donation to organizations working for and with the community and the unique nature, as well as using the locals as the most important partners on our travels.
There is an opportunity to visit a dog shelter, hear a presentation from the creator of a local home for sick children and visit rare, hidden natural and cultural gems such as monks who still produce wine by an ancient, UNESCO preserved method. You can, as a group, choose to visit one of the sites mentioned above instead of one of the activities according to the program, or choose it as a supplementary activity.
